ANTHRAX Guitarist Performs With PUBLIC ENEMY At SUNSET STRIP MUSIC FESTIVAL (Video)

August 22, 2011

ANTHRAX guitarist Scott Ian joined PUBLIC ENEMY on stage at the fourth annual Sunset Strip Music Festival (SSMF) in Hollywood, California on August 20 to perform the rap band's classic song "Bring The Noise". Fan-filmed video footage of his appearance can be seen below.

Regarding the experience of sharing the stage with PUBLIC ENEMY once again, Scottwrote on his blog, "PE went on and I was standing next to DJ Lord watching them tear through 'Public Enemy No. 1', 'Welcome To The Terrordome', 'Prophets Of Rage', 'Don't Believe The Hype', 'Show 'Em Whatcha Got' and then it was time for 'Bring The Noise'.

"We hit it HARD!!!

"The crowd was nuts, a sea of jumpers and Chuck and Flav matched them step for step.

"I got to rap the third verse sandwiched by Chuck on my right and Flav on my left.

"To get to rap this with them is always surreal for me. I am not a rapper, but I know that song and when I'm on stage doing it face to face with PE, it's adrenalizing."

ANTHRAX's "Attack of the Killer B's" album included the group's version of PUBLIC ENEMY's "Bring the Noise" with a guest shot from PE themselves.
